60 something!!

Yes, believe it or not! We have been in the single digits for a while now, and Saturday came with 60+ degrees! (we have crazy swings in temp here) It was great! After Sam and Shelby's B-ball games we were outside washing the cars and playing. It was so nice to be out in the fresh air! It reminded me of a couple good days we had durring the Christmas break. Right before the kids went back to school we had a couple good days to play outside, and without coats! One of those days Sam decided he wanted to get the kids on the street together for a lemonade stand, so they all got together and made signs and hauled the table and such down to the corner. They were really cute about trying to get people's attention as they drove by. They had a blast and made $17 and were so proud. They couldn't believe they made so much--and frankly I couldn't either! They all decided they should give it to charity and decided on one of the local hospitals. So, here are some pictures from that fun filled day.

Wow, forget garage sales, I'm going to try a lemonade stand!! It has been 60's & 70's here too. Crazy weather! More sign of the times.

It is currently 2 degrees here, so it's warmed up a bit! I don't want to hear about it...

Ahh, kind of reminds me when we first met! You bought hot chocolate from my girls Hot Chocolate stand...I believe it would have been in the 40's that day! I was wondering who is this crazy lady taking her kids to the park? It has been in the 60's all week here...loving the nice weather! By the way, Kenzie had her friends bring donations for the Dumb Friends League (where we got Tootsie) instead of presents to her b-day party! I will post a pic of all the stuff she took there soon. It was so sweet and she felt so good about it and did not miss getting presents from her friends. Haley plans to do the same! So glad you stopped for hot chocolate! :)

You are teaching them well! My kids would want to run to the store immediately and buy something. I will use this post as a teaching tool:) Thanks!
